Fiano is one of a clutch of well-considered wines from the region of Campagna, benefitting from the rich alluvial soils of nearby Mount Vesuvius. The lively wine town of Avellino is the focal point of the region, and well worth a visit.

Fruit purchased from Sunrasia. Received at 13.5%.

Tasting Notes

Fiano has a light texture – similar to Pinot Grigio, but slightly fuller with a more tropical nose. This southern Italian classic has a tropical palate, with a touch of macadamia.  Fiano pairs well with an assortment of dishes including seafood, creamy cheese styles, vegetarian and pasta.  It's best enjoyed while young and fresh but can be cellared for a few years due to the natural acidity in the wine.
